Day 1 – Arrive Anchorage

Upon arrival, collect your luggage and transfer to your hotel for one night.

Day 2 – Luxury Dome rail to Denali Park

This morning you transfer to Rail Station for your luxury dome rail trip to Denali National Park. Relax and enjoy the scenery, easy to view through the expansive dome windows. Your conductor will keep you posted on points of interest along the way. A no-host, full-service restaurant is available on the lower level and coffee, tea and a no-host bar are available in the dome area for your enjoyment.

Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3 – Customize your Denali National Park Experience

Day 4 – Luxury Dome rail Denali National Park to Fairbanks

The morning is yours to continue your exploration of Denali National Park. This afternoon reboard the luxury dome rail for your trip to Fairbanks. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 – Riverboat Discovery and El Dorado Gold Camp Tours

Today enjoy to great excursions in Fairbanks. On your three hour cruise the Discovery will take you into the heart of Alaska and the heart of a family who has made the rivers of Alaska a way of life for five generations. You will see a bush floatplane taking off alongside a “bush” style runway; visit the home and kennels of the late four-time Iditarod winner Susan Butcher.

Your adventure at El Dorado Gold Camp and Gold Dredge 8 begins with a ride on a replica of the Tanana Valley Railroad. Before you board our train, enjoy a close up view of the Trans Alaska pipeline and informational displays about the pipeline. The train ride takes you to the dredge where you will see first hand how the dredge worked the gold fields. Once the train arrives at the camp, then you will try panning for yourself!

Day 6 – Fairbanks to Dawson City

On you adventure today depart Fairbanks and travel the famed Alaska Highway to Tok. After a short stop here you turn and travel the Top-of-the-World Highway. Along the way visit colorful villages; like Chicken. This full day trip will offer many majestic views include the Wrangell-St Elias Mountains and the Alaska oil pipeline.

Day 7 – Dawson City Exploration

The discovery of Klondike gold in 1897 led to one of the greatest gold rushes in history. By 1898, Dawson City was one of the biggest cities north of San Francisco and west of Winnipeg, with a population of 40,000. It was nicknamed “the Paris of the North” and boasted bustling dance halls, theaters and hotels, along with the latest fashions from Paris.

Today, visit the Parks Canada Visitor Center to get many ideas of how to explore this area. From trips to Bonanza Creek, listening to “Robert Service”, or just exploring interesting museums. You may also wish to visit Dimond Tooth Gertie’s which re-creates the 1898 saloon.

Day 8 – Fly Dawson City to Whitehorse

This morning is free to finish your exploration of Dawson City. Later board your flight for the short hop to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territory.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Whitehorse is home to the S.S. Klondike National Historic Site, home to the largest and last sternwheeler on the Yukon River.

Day 9 – Whitehorse to Skagway

Today you will fall under “The Spell of the Yukon” with the White Pass & Yukon Route, when you follow the trail of the Sourdoughs between Whitehorse to Skagway. The tour departs Whitehorse via bus to meet the train.

Here you will board the White Pass and Yukon Route train. From here descend the famed White Pass to Skagway. Your conductor will recount the stories of the hardy souls who traversed the White Pass in search of the gold at Dawson City.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 10 – Skagway to Juneau on the Marine Highway

Today travel by the Alaska State ferry along scenic Lynn Canal. This body of water offers great views, and the open decks of your ferry offer many vantage points.

On arrival, transfer to your hotel in downtown Juneau.

Day 11 – Tracy Arm Cruise

Today’s excursion will be an unforgettable glacier and fjord cruise. Tracy Arm, a classic fjord, has it all- tidewater and elevated glaciers, breathtaking mountains and sheer rock walls that reach up over a mile high with waterfalls that tumble down to the emerald green water, and Alaska’s largest icebergs.

Watch for whales, bears, mountain goats, hundreds of harbor seals, and a variety of birds such as eagles, arctic terns, kittiwakes, and pigeon guillemots. A full walk-around deck and large cabin windows assure unobstructed views and great photo opportunities.

Day 12 – Juneau

Your tour ends today as you check out from your hotel.
