Day 1 – Anchorage
Arrive on own. Arrangements begin with hotel check-in.
Day 2 – Anchorage to Talkeetna
Board your Luxury Dome rail car for a grand rail adventure to Talkeetna, Alaska, jumping off point for climbers on their journey to reach the top of Mt. McKinley. This afternoon you will enjoy a Wilderness Safari Jet Boat Tour up the Susitna River, famous for its views of Denali.
Day 3 – Talkeetna to Denali National Park
Reboard your Luxury Dome rail cars and continue on to the entrance of Denali National Park. This afternoon you will have time to explore some “front country” of this Alaskan icon.
Day 4 – Denali National Park Experience and Options
Today enjoy the Tundra Wilderness Tour that travels deep into the Park. There is also time during your stay to schedule your personal exploration of the Park. Click Here for all the possible tour options you have to customize your stay in the Park.
Day 5 – Denali National Park / Fairbanks
Today you have more time to explore the park before you reboard your Luxury Dome railcars for the trip to Fairbanks.
Day 6 – Fairbanks Sightseeing
Your morning is free to explore Fairbanks, the “Golden Heart City”.
This afternoon board the Riverboat Discovery for an exploration of the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Included are stops at: a recreated Native Village, dog sledding demonstrations, a working salmon fish wheel and watch a bush plane take off.
Day 7 – Arctic Circle Fly / Drive
Today you tour north from Fairbanks. View the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post, and experience the mighty Yukon River. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra as you drive across the Arctic Circle in ceremonious fashion. You will arrive at Coldfoot Camp; a genuine truck stop and one of the busiest in the country during the pipeline construction. There will be time to explore the area before your flight back to Fairbanks. Upon arrival you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 8 – Depart Fairbanks / Tour ends
Your tour ends upon hotel check-out.
