On this hour you depart from the world’s busiest seaplane base for the expansive Knik Glacier, located 50 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska. You may also fly over Colony Glacier to Lake George, which spills into the winding Knik Glacier Gorge. Included is a lake landing for photos.
Highlights: Soar over the Chugach Mountains and the expansive Knik Glacier rimmed with spectacular hanging glaciers. Spot mountain goat and Dall sheep at high elevations. Watch for black and grizzly bear, wolf, coyote, fox and other Alaska wildlife. Descend for a low moose-spotting flyby over Knik River.
Tour includes: A window seat and 2-way headset. Rich knowledge (and personality) of an Alaska bush pilot. A summertime only courtesy transfer from Anchorage airport and some hotels.
