Day 1 Arrive Juneau
Today fly to Juneau. Transfer to your hotel for two nights.
Day 2 Best of Juneau Sightseeing
Today you will take in the very that Juneau has to offer. Come face to face with one of the only glaciers accessible by road, marvel at a humpback whale the size of six elephants, and top it off with a scrumptious all-you-can-eat adventure featuring wild Alaskan salmon grilled over an alder wood fire.
At the Mendenhall Glacier, explore trails and learn about the ecology of the spectacular ice wall at the visitor’s center through interactive exhibits and narration provided by a US Forest Service Ranger.
At Auke Bay, your captain and naturalist will welcome you aboard our vessel, custom designed for Juneau whale watching where you will view whales in their natural environment—guaranteed! The Gold Creek Salmon Bake is the ultimate Alaska experience with great food, live music, and fun activities like gold panning, marshmallow roasting, and a nature walk, set in a lush rainforest alongside Salmon Creek.
Day 3 Fly to Skagway and Cruise
Today you fly up the scenic Lynn Canal to Skagway and you waiting cruise ship. On arrival you are transferred to your waiting ship. (D)
Day 4 Cruise Glacier Bay
Today you’ll cruise through the pristine waters of Glacier Bay National Park. Bring your camera for the magnificent photo opportunities. Watch for whales, sea lions, bears, mountain goats and other wildlife. Perhaps see a calving glacier. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Ketchikan
Today your port of call is Ketchikan, the salmon capital of Alaska. You’ll have time to stroll along infamous Creek Street and visit Dolly’s House, tour one of Ketchikan’s totem parks and learn the stories behind the city’s many totems or take an optional flight to Misty Fjords National Monument. Day 6 Cruising the Inside Passage
Spend a full day of cruising the protected waters of the Inside Passage, past countless islands, evergreen forests and a continual procession of birds and sea animals. Take time out from the scenery to enjoy some shipboard fun and the lectures on Alaska. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Arrive Vancouver and arrangements end.
You arrive in Vancouver this morning. On arrival your arrangements with Knightly Tours end. (B)
