Day 1 – Anchorage

Arrive in Anchorage using your own arrangements and pick up a full-size car with unlimited mileage. (We use full-size cars because they are very stable and can handle your luggage)

Day 2 – Anchorage / Seward

Drive 125 miles to the picturesque town of Seward. The rest of the day is free to visit Exit Glacier. Included is a visit to the Alaska Sealife Center; Alaska’s only public aquarium and wildlife rescue. Built on the shores of Resurrection Bay, visitors have close encounters with sea life such as puffins, octopus and sea lions, all while peeking over the shoulders of marine biologists studying Alaska’s rich and diverse sea life.

Day 3 – Seward / Homer

Enjoy a full-day cruise through the Kenai Fjords National Park where otters, sea lions, seals, whales, puffins and birds abound. You will also cruise to a glacier and pause to watch for the sheer ice wall to “calve”.

Later drive along Cook Inlet, with its stunning views of the Chigmit Mountains, 175 miles to Homer, southern tip of the Kenai.

Day 4 – Homer

Today is free in Homer for fishing, a fly-out bear viewing excursion, a day-cruise across Kachemak Bay, or strolling the beaches and shops.

Day 5 – Homer / Anchorage

Return 225 miles to Anchorage at your leisure today. Points of interest along the way include Kenai, Soldotna, Portage Glacier and Mt Alyeska. Drop off your car tonight in Anchorage.

Day 6 – Anchorage / Denali National Park

This morning board the Luxury Dome Railcars for your trip to one of America’s great National Parks. You arrive at the park in the afternoon and can begin your exploration right away. Click Here  to view exciting Denali area optional excursions.

Day 7 – Denali National Park Experience and Options

Today enjoy the Tundra Wilderness Tour that travels deep into the Park. There is also time during your stay to schedule your personal exploration of the Park. Click Here for all the possible tour options you have to customize your stay in the Park.

Day 8 – Denali Park to Fairbanks

This morning if free for further exploration of Denali National Park. This afternoon reboard the luxury dome rail car for the journey to Fairbanks. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel.

Day 9 – Fairbanks

Board the sternwheeler riverboat Discovery this morning for a cruise on the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Included is a stop at an Indian village and a dog sled demonstration.

Day 10 – Depart Fairbanks

Depart for home today.
