    Day 1 Welcome to Anchorage

    Welcome to Anchorage! When you arrive at the Anchorage Airport, there will be taxi service available just outside of the baggage claim area, or car service (Lyft & Uber) available outside of check in on the second floor. This should be about a 15-minute ride from the airport to downtown. Your host at the locally owned boutique style inn will have check in directions on the front door for you when you arrive. The Inn is known for their Alaskan hospitality, prime location close to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and easy walk to many of our favorite eateries and local shops in downtown Anchorage!

    Your guide will meet you in the Copper Whale Inn lobby for a short walk to Glacier Brewhouse for a welcome dinner from here. (Dinner Included)

    Day 2 Anchorage

    Enjoy a free morning in Anchorage before meeting your guide for an afternoon city tour.

    Meet your guide at the hotel at 1pm and explore the historic roots of Alaska’s largest city at Ship Creek, visit Earthquake Park to learn about the devastating 1964 earthquake, and drive past Lake Hood, the world’s busiest seaplane base. The tour concludes with a scenic stop in the Chugach Mountains, offering panoramic views of Anchorage, Cook Inlet, and surrounding peaks.     Day 3 Anchorage to Seward

    Travel aboard the Alaska Railroad in GoldStar Service from Anchorage to Seward, enjoying spectacular views along one of Alaska’s most scenic rail routes. Upon arrival, embark on a Kenai Fjords National Park cruise through Resurrection Bay and Aialik Bay, where you may spot whales, sea otters, puffins, sea lions, and other wildlife. Witness the impressive Holgate Glacier and explore the dramatic coastline before settling in for the evening at Harbor 360 Hotel (where you will stay two nights), located in the heart of Seward’s picturesque harbor.  (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included)

    Day 4 Seward

    Enjoy a free morning in Seward before meeting your guide for an afternoon city tour.

    Meet your guide at the hotel for your 1pm city tour of Seward. Seward city highlights tour will follow the history of Alaska, Statehood, the 1964 Earthquake and modern industry.     Day 5 Seward to Talkeetna

    Today's tour & transfer to Talkeetna will be a leisurely day. Included today is a complete tour through the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a 200-acre rescue and rehabilitation center in the heart of Portage Glacier Valley. The tour includes lunch en route and scenic photo stops.  You will stay at the Talkeetna Cabins for the next two nights, just off the Historic Main Street.     Day 6 Talkeetna

    Enjoy a free morning in Talkeetna before meeting your guide for an afternoon city tour.

    Meet your guide at the hotel for your 1pm village tour of Talkeetna. Talkeetna town highlights will follow the history charming history of this quaint supply and aviation base for Denali expeditions. Popular stops include the Talkeetna Historical Society Museum, the Ranger Station and the River. Your guide will then bring you to a popular easy hike at Talkeetna Lakes Park. This easy well marked 3.5-mile loop takes you through boreal forests and is a popular place to stretch your legs, look for local flora/fauna and enjoy the views from one of the various wooden seats.  (Breakfast Included)

     
     
     
     
     
  • Day 7 Denali National Park

    After breakfast, your Salmon Berry Tours guide will transport you to Denali National Park. We will make photo stops en route and enjoy a hike & picnic lunch (included!) at Denali State Park. A wonderful place to stretch our legs, the trail provides views of the Alaska Range and Denali should she be clear of clouds! 

    Arrive at Denali Bluffs Hotel where you will stay two nights.  From here you can explor area attractions while surrounded by wilderness splendor. (Lunch Included)

     
     
     
  • Day 8 Denali National Park: Tundra Wilderness Tour

    The Tundra Wilderness Tour is the premier tour of Denali National Park and Preserve! This tour will travel 62 miles to Stony Hill Overlook and offers wonderful diversity for visitors. Incredible scenery, a narrated history of the park road, and some of the best opportunities to view the park’s wildlife inhabitants await you on this tour.

    The Tundra Wilderness Tour will guide you along the spectacular road corridor, promising different experiences every day, as Denali’s wildlife moves at its own pace and according to the seasons. Pass by the Murie Cabin near the East Fork River to see where Adolf Murie lived while conducting his famous research. A full view of Denali is a rare treat in Denali National Park & Preserve, your tour will continue beyond the Toklat rest area to Stony Hill Overlook to provide truly awe-inspiring views of North America’s highest peak.   • Day 9 Denai National Park to Anchorage

    We will make restroom stops to stretch our legs and get our last look at Alaska together en route to the airport. We expect to be to the airport between 5pm - 6pm. Please schedule your flights for 8pm or later. You can also add on a post-night Anchorage stay if needed to work with your flight schedule. (Lunch Included)
