Day 1
This tour provides an in depth look in Sitka's rich history. For over 63 years Sitka was the capital of Czarist Russia until Alaska was sold to the United States in 1867. The fully narrated tour includes stops at Sitka National Historic Park and the world renowned St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cathedral with its priceless 16th Century Icons and religious artifacts. After visiting the local museum quality totems, the tour concludes with an authentic Russian style folk-dance performed by Sitka's New Archangel Dancers.
