The Rocky Mountaineer will take you on the “Journey through the Clouds” to Jasper at the north end of the Canadian Rockies. This vacation gives you more time to visit Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff before departing from Calgary.

Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and transfer to your hotel on your own. The balance of your day is free to explore this great city.

Day 2 - Vancouver to Kamloops
Transfer to the rail station and board the Rocky Mountaineer SilverLeaf service for the next two days. The train will travel the historic route built to unite Canada through the Northern route. (B, L)

Day 3 - Kamloops to Jasper
Continue on the Rocky Mountaineer through the Yellowhead Pass. This route will bring you to the north end of the Rockies at Jasper National Park. Arrive late tonight at approximately 7:00pm and transfer to your hotel. (B, L)

Day 4 - Jasper
Wake this morning In Jasper. You have the day to yourself to explore this town, go hiking or take an optional tour to Maligne Lake.

Day 5 - Jasper to Lake Louise
Today you will tour the Icefield Parkway and explore areas of exquisite beauty. Along the way you will stop at the Columbia Icefields where you will take a Snowcoach Excursion onto the glacier. Then you continue on the Parkway to Lake Louise for the evening.

Day 6 - Lake Louise to Banff
This morning is free to explore the Lake Louise area. You should walk down to the Chateau and stroll the grounds before boarding your coach to Banff. You arrive in Banff in the late afternoon.

Day 7 - Banff
Today is free to explore Banff on your own. Maybe you will ride the Gondola or visit the original Banff Hot Springs

Day 8 - Banff to Calgary
Depart this morning for the Calgary airport by motorcoach. Your tour ends upon arrival at the Calgary Airport.
